muscular reconditioning

Muscular reconditioning is a term we use to define the aspects of care in which we attempt to reduce muscle pain and tightness through modalities and manual therapies. Ultrasound, microcurrent and electric muscle stimulation are used to reduce pain and promote healing. Trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage and PNF stretching are used to reduce muscular tension, improve body mechanics and promote better posture.

  • Deep Tissue Massage is used in many conditions in which body relaxation, the reduction of swelling, and muscle mobilization is desired. Massage works by kneading and stroking muscles to relax them, and uses friction to stimulate soft tissues. This therapy can increase blood and lymph circulation while breaking up scar tissue between muscle fibers.
